Trading Companies
Unico Limited
The largest and oldest company in the Group. A janitorial business supplying a full range of cleaning and hygiene products including "own manufacture".
Scottish Fine Soaps Limited, Retail Branded Toiletries
An upmarket branded toiletries business supplying both a UK and Export market with 90% of product manufactured "in-house".
A consumer led business based on fashionable designs and fragrances, SFS services a broad spectrum of customers including International Retail Groups, Department Stores, Boutiques, Garden Centres and Gift Shops.
The brand is gaining increasing recognition in Export markets with 70% of turnover exported to as diverse countries as Russia and japan, China and Taiwan, Australia, USA and most European and Scandinavian countries.
Montague Lloyd
Montague Lloyd is a specialist hotel amenity supplier. The majority of the ranges are miniature versions of Scottish Fine Soaps' product ranges. A large range of bedroom accessories are available to complement the toiletry products.
Blue Chip customers include Gleneagles Hotel, Macdonald Hotels, Dakota Hotels, The Eton Group and Crerar Hotels. The customer base is throughout the UK with a small, but developing overseas business.
Management Team
There is a strong, motivated and focused Management Team in place:
Maurice McBride (Chairman) - Has wide experience encompassing the Oil and Gas Industry, Catering and Hotels, Food Wholesaling, Property, Facilities Management, Toiletries and janitorial Supplies.
Derek Ross (Director) - Is a Chartered Accountant and has 44 years experience in the UK Cleaning and Hygiene marketplace.
Robert Ross (Director) - Joined the company in 2011, previously working as Director and Head of Global Trading Options for HSBC Bank.
Tom Slater (Director) - Is a CIMA qualified accountant and has been with the Group 20 years having joined from Courtaulds Textiles Plc. Tom has a considerable knowledge of the Scottish janitorial market.
Billy Wilson (Director) - Has been with the Group for over 30 years and is expert in distribution & logistics and the development, manufacture and marketing of toiletries.
Katherine Park (Financial Controller) - Is a Chartered Accountant with considerable financial and management experience in a range of industries.
